Popovers



Some people say that popovers are like English muffins, but others may disagree. If everything is done correctly, it should be golden brown and with a hole on the bottom (to put jam, butter, etc.). I hope you enjoy making and eating these delicious popovers.

Popover

Materials:

  • Muffin pan
  • 2 cups of flour
  • 4 eggs
  • 2-4 tablespoons of melted butter
  • 1 pinch of salt

    Instructions:

    1. Grease your muffin pan (with Crisco, oil, or Pam).
    2. Beat the eggs.
    3. Pour 2 cups of four in a bowl. Make a well in the flour.
    4. Add the beaten eggs in the well.
    5. Add milk gradually while stirring to get any lumps out.
    6. Mix until it becomes a thick cream.
    7. Add melted butter and salt.
    8. Pour the batter into the muffin pans (to the top).
    9. Put the muffin pan into a cold oven, and set the tempature to 375-400°.
    10. Wait about 35 minutes and check to see if it's golden brown.
    11. Let it cool down for about 10 minutes.
    12. You can serve the popovers with butter or jam.
