Popovers
Some people say that popovers are like English muffins, but others may
disagree. If everything is done correctly, it should be golden brown and
with a hole on the bottom (to put jam, butter, etc.). I hope you enjoy
making and eating these delicious popovers.
Materials:
Muffin pan
2 cups of flour
4 eggs
2-4 tablespoons of melted butter
1 pinch of salt
Instructions:
- Grease your muffin pan (with Crisco, oil, or Pam).
- Beat the eggs.
- Pour 2 cups of four in a bowl. Make a well in the flour.
- Add the beaten eggs in the well.
- Add milk gradually while stirring to get any lumps out.
- Mix until it becomes a thick cream.
- Add melted butter and salt.
- Pour the batter into the muffin pans (to the top).
- Put the muffin pan into a cold oven, and set the tempature to 375-400°.
- Wait about 35 minutes and check to see if it's golden brown.
- Let it cool down for about 10 minutes.
- You can serve the popovers with butter or jam.
